Eye Candy Thursday, Another New Man Candy!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I LOVE me some cowboy eye candy! Now this is a real cowboy, not one of those for show cowboys or god forbid "urban cowboys." Although I suppose there are few of those who are good looking, there's just something about a real cowboy that doesn't mind hard work and sweat that does it for me. Honestly, I could watch cowboys working all darned day if I had the time. Yum!

My article in Coffee Time Romance Newsletter...

I was so excited when Coffee Time Romance asked me to write an article for authors with some author marketing
tips! I wanted to choose something that was relevant and since so much of my personal book marketing is done through social media, I decided to write an article on how to use Pinterest to market your books.

Even if you're not an author but you love to read and love books, some of these tips can be used as fan boards for your favorite books, characters, and authors!

Read the article: 4 Pinterest Tips for Authors  You'll have to scroll down a little over half way to find it!

Eye Candy Thursday: New Eye Candy!

Here's a little man candy for you! I'm pleased to say I found a source that I can legally use, so while these will still be posted to my Man Candy Pinterest Board, I should have something new every Thursday again which I'm really excited about!

I just had to post this guy, I absolutely LOVE his blue eyes, and who doesn't love a bit scruff on a guy's face? LOL

He's inspiring to me as a character as well, I think I'm going to have to use him in a story at some point.

What's your favorite kind of guy?

Flash Fiction Friday: Her Griffin

Sahara looked at her companion. "You realize this isn't going to be easy, right?"

Lazarus gave her the look. Of course it's not going to be easy, it never is. What I want to know is when am I going to get my human form back?

"I don't know, my love. The sorceress who trapped you in this form keeps slipping away. The only way to turn you back is to find her and pierce her heart with the arrow Justice gave me."

If she was here right now, I would rip her heart out. Sahara's mind flashed with a picture of the woman in question, mauled, bloody and very very dead. The sorceress's bleeding heart ripped from her chest dripped on the stone floor from Lazarus's beak.

Sahara shuddered. "I'm just glad I'm on your good side."

Lazarus rubbed his large head against her arm. You could never be on my bad side.

"So, where do you think she'll go next?"
Lazarus shook his head. Maybe the Zaous realm?

"Maybe. You want to open the portal?"

Yes. I want my form back, and I want her to be trapped in this griffin form as she was before.

"It was a long time ago. You have to stop blaming yourself. She tricked you." Sahara petted Lazarus. As much as she longed to see his human form in more than just her mind, she hated that he continued to blame himself for being tricked.
I should have known better. I mean a female griffin? There is no such thing, griffins are magical creatures, and they're always male.

"You have a point, but it's still possible that there were female griffins at one time as she told you. And unlike you, she got her human form back during the full moon."
Yes, well, I intend for the curse she put on me to be the same for her, no more getting her human form back during the full moon so she can seduce some other poor unsuspecting young wizard as she did me. She will truly be stuck in this form forever.

"If I don't kill her first." The rage she felt was all consuming. Unlike the sorceress Talia, she could see past the form her true mate had been trapped in to who he was inside.

Just be sure and pierce her heart with the spear, if she is killed any other way I will be trapped forever.

"Oh, don't worry. I'll pierce her heart alright. Her black heart will feel my wrath and she will know it was Sahara who killed her and broke the curse."
Lazarus cuddled against Sahara as they waited for his magic to open the portal. This was the only magic he had left in this form, as if Talia wanted to taunt him by leaving him just enough to chase her from realm to realm.

When the portal opened they would begin the search again...

Autbor Spotlight on Laura Tolomei!

Author Bio:

Globetrotter author from Italy, Laura Tolomei has traveled the world from age five, and she hasn’t stopped since. After having read countless numbers of books, she decides, at age forty, to write her own stories for a change, instead of always having to read them from others. Now an acclaimed author with original borderline stories at the edge of accepted conventions, Laura Tolomei guarantees an erotic earthquake with each new novel.

Q. Does your family support your writing? Do they know….it’s spicy?

Laura: My family, my husband in particular, totally support me, and yes, they know it’s a hell of a lot more than spicy…mine is downright erotic. Fact is–I’m a very open person and don’t feel the need to hide anything about what I do or how I live. As a result, my family’s very supportive. My mate in particular bears the full weight of it since he’s my main reference for all my stories. Writing mostly MM, I ask him about how to make my characters more credible, also in their sex scenes. LOL I must admit, we have a lot of fun out of it. In addition, he helps me with plot and even reads the completed stories. We even found a new way to work together when I wrote Bloody Passion in first person. Since the speaker is a Druid, I wanted it to be credible so I asked him to review each chapter as I wrote it and his comments/suggestions were priceless. Ain’t he great?

Q. What describes the “heat” level in your writing?

Laura: My extremely HOT HOT HOT sex MM and MMF sex scenes! That’s why many of my books have five flames heat levels, like Divinitas, The Game and The Festival from my Virtus Saga. Most of my other books have a rating of four as heat levels, which is still scorching, particularly when it comes to my Soulmate and ReScue series.

Available from Extasy Books!

Alone. The future of his world on his shoulders, Prince Duncan Caldwell has to connect the dots. To pick up the pieces of broken love. Before the new edition of the Game. Before the terrible loss awaiting him at Black Rose. But not alone. Not without his angel. Certainly not without his princess. For only her power will save him.

“So, for you, it was through sex?” Extremely interested, Lord Ellis’s shoulders straightened, his body tensing all together. “With Christopher I presume.”

“No, he had nothing to do with it.” It was just as well the conversation was taking this turn. “It was the princess.” Lovingly, he raked his hand through her thick strands, relishing the silky feeling knotting around his fingers.

“That’s why you adopted her then.” It looked as though Richard had finally connected the dots to something that had been bothering him for a long time.

“Wasn’t it because you grew up together?” Somehow, it seemed important for Lucy to establish the family connection firmly.

“Actually, it was my father’s wish.” Still playing with her hair, he tilted up her face. “He had come to love her as another daughter.” His hand slipped downward. “But the reason I agreed to do it is because I love her.” Then his lips claimed hers.

Lost. He was irretrievably lost in the sweetness of her mouth. And of her immediate surrender to his tongue demanding an entry she readily gave.

“Oh…” In front of him, Lucy writhed, her hopes sagging like a balloon that had lost air too fast, too soon.

“Well, I had no idea…” Richard cleared his throat. “I mean, after what you said and did in the attic, we all thought that Christopher—”

“All I said and did is true.” Breaking off the seductive exchange, Duncan realized his cock was more than ready for her. “I love the angel.” Over her body, he reached out to clasp Chris’s hand. “But I also love her.” His free hand squeezed Ylianor’s fingers. “And the best moment of my life was when I pledged the two people I love most in the entire world to one another.” Now he brought their hands together, their bracelets—his special gift to them—grazing as their arms touched.

“And never was I happier to pledge to the woman who has captured my heart.” Taking the cue from him, Chris maneuvered her neck so that her head rested on his shoulder.

“The way you’ve been at the Hall lately, everyone thinks you only care about the leader.” Much like Lucy, also Richard looked crushed by the declaration. “And I remember Lord Strepton during the Fitting was very skeptical. Said he’d never seen Lady Templeton before, even if he’s the closest neighbor to Black Rose—”
